AI Passport for ChatGPT
AI Passport is your own portable memory layer. It lets the memories you choose travel between ChatGPT, Claude, and other connected assistants.
What AI Passport stores
AI Passport stores your approved memories and content-free activity receipts. It never reads ChatGPT's own memory, your chat history, or your files.
Set up
- Open the listing directly: the AI Passport listing on chatgpt.com. You can also find AI Passport under Plugins in the sidebar, or Settings, then Plugins.
- Select Connect and sign in to AI Passport with the same account.
- Mention
@AI Passportin a chat, or add it from the + menu, then More.
The Plugin directory is visible on every ChatGPT plan. Installation can still depend on plan, workspace settings, role, and region. Business workspaces have apps enabled by default; an Enterprise or Edu administrator must enable Plugins or Apps in Workspace settings before people can use them.
If a workspace cannot use the directory listing, or you run a self-hosted deployment, add the connector through developer mode with the MCP URL https://passport.ego.ist/mcp.
Review and grant exact category passes at my.ego.ist/passes. A pass is specific to one connected app, one memory category, and a chosen duration.
Proposals and passes
Normal saves first become proposals in your private Inbox, and you decide whether each becomes approved memory without granting an app read access. A pass grants one app access to one category for the duration you choose; protected memory approval and connector passes are separate.
Disconnect or delete data
Disconnect the AI Passport app from ChatGPT's plugin settings. In AI Passport, delete one memory or use clear-all in the Inbox, revoke passes at my.ego.ist/passes, and review content-free receipts at my.ego.ist/activity.
